In addition to numerous norm-tested hose types, Thöni also produces individually developed and modified hoses for a wide range of applications. To ensure that they display the right properties for your application, we constantly work to develop new processes and solutions. Production
We produce the basic material for our various hose types from multi-filament polyester yarns on modern circular looms. Inner linings, mainly EPDM or other high-grade liner types are incorporated in the fabric and subsequently rubberised in a computer-controlled vulcanisation system. Our plant is also able to apply an additional, external coating to these hoses. We also produce high-grade TPU flat hoses for a wide variety of application areas on our extrusion plant, which we developed in-house. In this highly complex process, the TPU is pressed through the fabric and calibrated, before undergoing a final inspection. This procedure was developed by Thöni in its in-house research department.
